In keeping with the vision of our founding fathers and the principles maintained all these years, Clarence High School pays special attention to the spiritual development of every child. The school meets every morning as one body in the morning assembly, to pray, sing a hymn, read a passage from the Bible and listen to an enlightening message.
Students keenly participate in the Flack Memorial Scripture Memory Contest and memorize passages from the Bible. There are occasions for interpersonal contact, singing, sharing, quizzes and messages from among the students themselves, assisted by the teachers. Those who belong to other faiths are given the option to choose Value Education.
Students who have shown exemplary behaviour and an aptitude for leadership are chosen and nominated as Prefects and Junior leaders. Prefects serve a very important role in maintaining discipline and setting behavioural patterns for other students. The School Captain, School Vice-Captain, House Captains and House Vice-Captains are selected from among the prefects. They commence their term of office with the Prefects Investiture in February and the Prefects Training Seminar in May.
